Dear Friends /Community Champions/Trusting Supporters,
It is that time of year again, and we have begun our work towards hopefully, another successful Golf Tournament.
The yearly success of our golf tournament, allows us to do amazing things with our players and families. This summer, we are planning a return trip to Toronto by VIA rail, a team dinner at the Spaghetti Factory, a Blue Jays Game, and of course a return visit to the Hockey Hall of Fame, to see the newly added exhibits since our last visit in 2022.
Our present roster is a compliment of nineteen amazing athletes, with many wonderful volunteers.
As our season winds down, this year was met with more challenges related to Covid, and other illnesses. On a positive note, we were able to play six games with regular community teams, showing, “Hockey is For Everyone” allowing them to “Pay It Forward” with their participation. Through it all, our season was exceptional, not possible without the kindness and generosity of so many.
Each year, we are met with new and additional expenses, such as an increase in ice time costs, insurance, to the replacement of out grown player jerseys, pants and socks. Our goal each year is to have our players look and feel like their NHL idols. Thanks to our continued trusting sponsors from year to year, we have and continue to do just that.
Without our community partners each year, the journey would be unable to provide the opportunities and excitement it does to our players.
Playing the great game of hockey, is a dream come true for them and their families. The OSHS is 100% Not for Profit, all volunteer based as defined, no salaries or honorariums to anyone. Always & Only about the kids.
